When I found out I was going to S. Korea for my first duty assignment, I was disappointed it wasn't Hawaii. But I enjoyed the Korea experience so much, I extended my stay an additional year (for additional pay). Living at Camp Humphreys for two years, that is where I experienced the majority of my life as a soldier; as well as the pain, love, sorrow and triumph of becoming a woman.
