A DD? You guys rock. Thank you so much.
It's my first time, so be gentle.
[edit Feb 9, 2010 1:30AM]updated visualization to reflect the # in front of each listed Group. The groups listed here may or may not be converted into an official group, this was made before Groups went Beta.
Thanks to `BoffinbraiN
for calling me out on my laziness.
[/edit]Apparently change inspires me.. I've never submitted so many things in such a short time-span. I resized this to 900px so it hopefully won't be blurry like previous submissions..Suggestion Break Down
At the top of this you'll see the actual drop down menu for groups. Currently you'll see your group beside your name. I think having this little tab will help keep better track of the groups and not take over the top bar. Some deviants are involved with a lot
of groups. So listing them across the top bar would get pretty extensive for some...The second section
shows the group tab when it isn't dropped down. Matches the Friends and Collection tabs, so it goes wonderfully with dA's layout.
Beside the search tab you'll see the
guy and the words Watch List
. I'm proposing this in place of the current Friends tab/section. Having a Watch List will help us organize deviants and groups in one place. Ideally this would transfer over to our message center too. So we can enjoy our groups submissions without them taking over the works of the artists we watch.
I'm also suggesting that in place of Deviant Groups
we use categories. This way we can have Deviant and Group categories for organization purposes. It would be awesome if our categories could be incorporated into our message center at some point too, but I'm not proposing that one just yet.
Baby steps.The bottom section
is what everyone else would see when they visit our front page. Comparable to what's available in the groups now. I also added the edit function to show a capability to customize how the different listings are arranged and customize each section.
I think I covered everything. I did try to make it pretty self-explanatory in the submission itself, but if you have questions, ask.
