A Strange Part of meLengths of time have cruelly passed by<da:thumb id="493108194"/> <da:thumb id="412723634"/>
Without the sight of your face here
That could somehow bring me to cry
For falling for you was my fear.
Now I have lost part of myself
For you to hold while unknowing
And to carry within yourself
What brings your leave to be depressing.
I seem to miss you deeply
And as I think about you
A part of me dies far from simply
Once you leave and the day is through.
Silver Tongued MysteriesThat night, when your lips tasted of butterflies,<da:thumb id="497801478"/> <da:thumb id="492694123"/> <da:thumb id="496355861"/>
I discovered supernovae in your eyes.
Your gossamer lashes brush against my skin
and my heart soars like symphonic violins --
but your apocryphal words cloud in my mind
as I realize for so long I have been blind.
I am a panther caged in your desire; weak,
filled with an apathy that makes my bones creak.
The roots connecting me to earth are brittle
as burned wood, a pain that throbs inside my skull.
That night, when your lips tasted of butterflies,
I discovered supernovae in your eyes.
Your gossamer lashes brush against my skin
and my heart soars like symphonic violins.
The sky-trees sing of ignorance in beauty,
telling stories within their aging rings, free.
Their voices twine together in the east wind
and make their way to me, though my eyes are dimmed,
all the way across the ocean. I struggle
away from the abyss that seems so chasmal
while pressing my footprints into silver sand;
trying to leave a permanent mark here, and
that night,
Don't freak out on me if you're not featured and you gave me a Llama; I have a long list I'm working through--oldest to most recent, 20 at a time--be patient. And truth be told, some may get lost in the mix, it happens.
